Jason Freewalt writes songs that capture the heart of American life—faith, family, and the spirit of hard work. Through his lyrics and melodies, he tells stories of small-town living, the struggles and joys of everyday people, and the pride that comes with living free. Whether celebrating a regular day or honoring a life well lived, Jason’s songs feel like conversations with an old friend on the front porch.
With heartfelt songs like I Like My Job But I Love Summer Better, Dog Creek Road, You Got This, and It’s a Regular Day, Jason delivers authentic country storytelling with a warm, classic sound. His music blends timeless melodies with lyrics that reflect the beauty of life’s simple moments and the values that never go out of style.
Music has always been part of Jason’s world. He grew up on the country music his dad and grandparents played, and to this day, he still plays country tunes for the chickens in his barn—just like his grandparents used to do. His musical influences range from the Beatles and Van Halen to Metallica, Mozart, and John Williams, but country music has always called him home.
Outside of music, Jason wears many hats: husband, father of eight, school teacher, coach, and black belt martial artist. One hip replacement ago, he was a marathon runner. Now he’s a beekeeper, raises chickens, loves spending time outdoors, researches genealogy, and is the author of the novel The Oracle of Chronos. He also shares his passion for ancient and mysterious history through his YouTube series Have to Know History, and for family adventures on The Freewalt Chronicles.
No matter where life takes him, Jason’s love for faith, family, and country remains at the heart of everything he does—and every song he writes.
